WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY 2021

Nandankanan Zoological Park celebrated the 49th World Environment Day on 5th June, 2021 by organizing and promoting this day through a series of activities and events to generate participation of public within ambit of Covid-19 pandemic restrictions.

This day started with cleanliness drive of zoo premises followed by planting of tree saplings by the officials and staff in the identified locations inside the zoo. An on-line painting and photography competition was also organized with a theme “Ecosystem Restoration” where 56 students were participated.
