The 618 meter long monocable pulsated ropeway is built across the Kanjia lake from Nandankanan Zoo to State Botanical Garden. Due to its expanse, it gives visitors a unique aerial view of flora and fauna and enabling them to enjoy the aerial sight of picturesque Kanjia lake. Ropeway consists of 12 cabins and each cabin has capacity of 6 persons.

Mode of operation & ticket rates

Visitors can book tickets both from Nandankanan side and State Botanical side, with the following options

  • Option-I : From Nandankanan ropeway station to State Botanical Garden ropeway station and back without getting down at State Botanical Garden. (Ticket rate Rs.120/- per person (above 3 years chargeable)
  • Option-II : From State Botanical Garden ropeway station to Nandankanan ropeway station and back without getting down at Nandankanan. (Ticket rate Rs.120/- per person (above 3 years chargeable)
  • Option-III : From Nandankanan to State Botanical Garden, getting down at State Botanical Garden. After visiting State Botanical Garden back to Nandankanan through ropeway. {(Ticket rate- Rs.120/- per person + Entry fee for State Botanical Garden) (separate counter for entry fee collection will be made functional by Nandankanan authority at ropeway station of Nandankanan)}
  • Option-IV : From State Botanical Garden to Nandankanan, getting down at Nandankanan. After visiting Nandankanan back to State Botanical Garden through ropeway. {(Ticket rate- Rs.120/- per person + Entry fee for Nandankanan) (separate counter for entry fee collection will be made functional by Nandankanan authority at ropeway station of State Botanical Garden)}

Starting time- 8.00 AM & End time- 4.30 PM
(For visitors who need to get down at State Botanical Garden from Nandankanan side and for visitor who need to get down at Nandankanan from State Botanical Garden side tickets shall be issued only upto 3.00 PM)
